Invitation to join the Global Esports Future Leaders Program global internship
Esports has grown from the sidelines to the center of mainstream sports and entertainment across the world. The meteoric rise of esports, fueled by current world events, is a window to the possibilities of a hyper-connected future. The way we all participate as members of the community continues to evolve, and we view esports as having a significant role in this reality.

“Esports is, in many aspects, a significant part of today’s youth culture. More than leisure, esports offers exciting opportunities for personal and professional development, and can serve as a platform to offer enriching learning experiences and boost career aspirations for young people,” said Thanos Karagrounas, Director of Strategic Programs, Global Esports Federation. “We are constantly thinking of ways we can offer young people opportunities and support them in launching a global career in esports; in roles including event and production management, marketing and social media, tournament administration, as well as community, talent and players management, among so many others."
Since 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared July 15 as World Youth Skills Day to celebrate the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.
The Global Esports Federation echoes this call by the United Nations to empower youth and commits to powering the future of learning and the future of work in esports through various tangible initiatives.

The Global Esports Future Leaders Program (GEFLP) unlocks exciting opportunities for young people to learn and gain experience through a global internship program with the GEF. The first group of interns will commence in the lead up to the first ever Singapore 2021 Global Esports Games.
