Strategic Framework Agreement signifies bold step towards realizing full potential of esports as force for good in Peru and beyond
The Global Esports Federation and the Asociación Deportiva Peruana de Esports (ADPES) have cemented a Strategic Framework Agreement (SFA) aimed at spearheading the advancement of esports in Peru.
At the first stage of the 2024 Global Esports Tour, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from April 18-21, the signing of the SFA marked a significant milestone in the realm of esports. Under the SFA, both organizations are committed to jointly crafting a comprehensive Peru Esports strategy that not only encourages competitive gaming but also serves as a powerful tool for societal progress and transformation.
Central to this collaboration is the aspiration of the ADPES to host the GEF’s flagship Global Esports Games, and the pro-series Global Esports Tour annually from 2024 to 2028. This initiative aims to position Peru as a key player on the global esports stage while providing unparalleled opportunities for local talent to shine on an international stage.
Paul J. Foster, CEO, Global Esports Federation, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This Strategic Framework Agreement represents a pivotal moment in the evolution of esports in Peru and beyond. Peru is an esports powerhouse, and we are committed to laying the groundwork for sustainable growth and development that will benefit communities across the nation.”
